For as long as I can remember, art has always been a part of my life. I’ve filled countless sketchbooks that go unfinished. I doodle on receipts, coffee cups, and even my work agendas.
I kept my art mostly to myself out of fear of criticism — afraid no one would like what I made, or worse, that people would say I had absolutely zero talent and should stick to my day job.
A lot of my work started off as a basic sketch on cheap paper or a Post-it, because I didn’t want to waste "good paper” or use up the expensive paints and canvases I’d bought for art classes.
Still, every now and then, I’d get an unsolicited, kind, and encouraging compliment — on an unfinished piece or a random class assignment. I appreciated every bit of it.
And finally, in 2018, I said, “f*** it.” What was I so afraid of?
So... I made an Instagram account and started posting my art — my doodles, my sketches, the Post-its! I even started creating art with my now-fiancé and shared that too. We love creating together.
As I posted more, people connected. I got kind words, a few commissions, momentum — and something even better: community.
I’ve taken breaks here and there — life happens — but the art’s always been there... usually on the side of a coffee cup filled with chai or hot chocolate, right before I toss it.
This site is my fresh start — a space to share what I create, connect with people, and soon, offer ready-to-ship prints for your home.
To everyone who’s supported me: thank you from the bottom of my heart. And to the newbies — welcome! I hope you stay, explore, and show some love. Thanks for showing up. Thanks for the love. It’s mutual.
I have a day job and create outside of work, so I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. Alternatively, you can also reach me on Instagram.
